Mosaico’s partners share an objective: to build great Internet businesses capable of making their users’ lives easier, more fun and productive. It has been this way since Roberto Malta founded Domain Internet, a pioneer Internet service provider in Brazil, in 1996. Later, they founded the price comparison website Bondfaro, in 1999. In the following years, Bondfaro became one of the largest and most successful websites in Brazil, helping millions of Brazilian consumers make better shopping decisions. In 2004, they started to consolidate the market, acquiring a competitor and expanding to other countries in Latin America. In 2006, Bondfaro merged with BuscaPé, creating the largest media group for e-commerce in Latin America, later purchased by Naspers/MIH. In 2007, the three entrepreneurs founded Mundi, the first and largest travel search engine in Brazil and, in 2009, they associated with Globo to create Mosaico.
Guilherme started as an entrepreneur at 18 years old, worked at an investment bank and founded Bondfaro, in 1999. In 2006, after the merger of Bondfaro with BuscaPé, he became Marketing and Product Vice President of the group and joined its Board of Directors. In 2007, he founded Mundi. He received his M.Sc. degree in Business Administration and B.A in Economics from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio).
José Guilherme worked at the Brazilian National Association of the Financial Market Institutions (ANDIMA) and founded Bondfaro, in 1999. After the merger with BuscaPé, he became the group’s Sales Vice President. He developed a strong relationship with the main retail and industry advertisers, as well as advertising agencies. In 2007, he founded Mundi. José Guilherme is a board member of Nova América Shopping Center. He received his B.A in Business Administration from IBMEC and a MBA from COPPEAD/UFRJ.
Roberto was an Engineering Director at Autotrac Comércio e Telecomunicações – a pioneer company in mobile data communication and fleet monitoring and tracking. In 1996, he founded one of the first Internet Service Providers in Brazil, Domain Internet.\, later acquired by PSI Net. He was the founder and CTO of Bondfaro, and later of BuscaPé, until he founded Mundi, in 2007. Roberto Malta received his B.S in Computer Engineering, magna cum laude, from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
